Qannik at 6 Months

Been so busy getting ready for my exhibition and working!! Nearly done and I have so many photos to put up and I'm kinda feeling bad for not getting them up and I have lots of thanxxes and replies to do..nearly there!!

Ever since staging my first photo shoot as a child (which included a bed, a dog and three rolls of toilet paper) I have been passionate about photography and the concept of perspective. Working in the design industry for the past thirteen years has exposed me to commercial photography for advertising purposes, magazines and publications. In more recent times I’ve reassigned my occupative focus solely onto photography, working mainly in New Zealand and the Pacific region.

I’m also working towards a Diploma in Painting and am discovering an artful approach to photography. Under the vision and guidance of my tutor Heather Sarin, I’m finding more and more, the line between art and photography blurring and both forms merging into one path – being inspired to paint from my photography and finding inspiration to photograph in my art.
